Why do we need donations?

Middleton-Cooke Farms is a 501c3 charitable organization. Our fiscal plans account for the following funding sources:

We are also a start-up. This means that we’re laying the foundation in regards to awareness and networking with potential donors and partnerships.

Your donation(s) are tax deductible (figured we mention that).

We need YOU. The individuals who know and trust our leadership, mission and vision and have been following our journey since 2022, are the best kind of donors because you’re showing the world that what we’re building here is important and vital for the future of our collective; Black and Indigenous women and femmes. And if the community believes in this organization then so will the world.

Your donation can help us to reach our Year 1 goals to:

Build robust in-person programming
So far, we’ve been community building online; via book groups and workshops. But the folks have been asking to meet in person so that we can see one another face to face and heal as a collective and partake in activities like; group reiki and meditation therapy, sound baths, plantation visits, gullah-geechee historical tours and dinners.

Develop our building fund
We continue to look for our first site; a structure surrounded by acreage to accommodate the plans for MCF as a thriving multi-use greenspace serving Black and Indigenous women who are the descendants of “the colonized”, and reinstating our rich historical legacy through wellness programs, ancestral veneration, and sustainable agriculture.

Thank You again and again and again. If you’re unable to support monetarily we hope you can spread the word about Middleton-Cooke Farms. This is being built for the community BY the community.

Peace
Kat
