Kat Niambi

Kateria (Kat) Niambi, renowned internationally as The Hungry Medium; an accomplished Spiritual Activist, is a vessel for transformative soul searching and healing enlightenment. By sharing her remarkable gift of communing with Spirit, Kat has played a pivotal role in empowering hundreds of clients (mainly Black women) with the guidance to find clarity, focus, and direction in their day-to-day lives. 

Adding to her multifaceted talents and gifts, Kat boasts over 38 years of corporate marketing expertise. As an innovative thinker and passion-driven professional, her career is marked with countless successes, including, but not limited to, 

  • digital marketing strategist for the world’s largest children’s book publisher and distributor, Scholastic Inc.

  • consultancy, Operations & Programming Manager, and Board of Directors Member for the Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts Center (DSPAC), a not-for-profit organization

  • brand strategist for NYC public schools; developing dynamic partnerships with corporations serving thousands of New York City students through critical support and educational experiences.

Following a triumphant battle with breast cancer in 2012, Kat exited the corporate world to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. She has since established several bustling enterprises, including her lifestyle brand, The Hungry Medium, and Middleton Cooke Farms; a 501(c)(3) charitable not-for-profit organization. 

A born and bred New Yorker with a bloodline enriched with Gullah Geechee birthrights, Kat founded Middleton-Cooke Farms while residing in Charleston, SC – the native home of her mother and matrilineal ancestors. A passion-driven mission to return to her roots while creating an online portal for black women to return to rest, reinvigorate, and heal, inspired her to found Middleton Cooke Farms. Named in honor of her mother (Emily Middleton) and father (Bennett Wesley Cooke),  Middleton Cooke Farms was established in 2022 and Kat's unprecedented plans for developing Middleton Cooke Farms into a retreat space, urban farm cooperative, regenerative farming space, and Gullah Geechee cultural and educational complex will make this haven of heritage the first of its kind in the world.

Through various professional affiliations, her primary goal is to build enduring relationships across the country with prospective donors, partners and supporters.
